Le centre BEET occupe un bâtiment de charme du XIXe siècle, une ancienne école paroissiale, dans un quartier résidentiel d’où l’on rejoint facilement le centre de Bournemouth. Fondée en 1979 par Clive Barrow avec seulement 3 étudiants, l’école est restée indépendante et familiale.
Selon l'école, Bournemouth est une ville universitaire animée, avec 10 km de plages de sable et un aéroport international à 15 minutes ; en été, des feux d'artifice y sont tirés tous les vendredis soirs. Le programme social propose une activité chaque soir de semaine — karaoké, quiz, soirées cinéma, jeux, ateliers d'art, soirées musique — et des excursions du samedi, encadrées par des enseignants, vers Londres, Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, Salisbury et Stonehenge ou l'île de Wight.

I wouldn’t recommend the city for those looking for a lively nightlife hahaha. It’s a very calm place with daytime activities, but peaceful and quiet.

During my three-week course, I was taught by four different teachers. Each of them was knowledgeable, dedicated, and motivating. Their different teaching styles made the course especially varied and enriching, while the high standard of teaching remained consistent throughout.
The friendly and supportive learning environment made it easy to participate actively in class and build my confidence. In a short period of time, I was able to make significant progress in my English.
I would also like to highlight the entire team: the staff at the reception, the management, and the kitchen staff were always extremely helpful, warm, and friendly. From the very beginning, I felt welcome and well looked after.
I also greatly appreciated the varied social programme. Every weekend, the school organizes exciting excursions where you can explore the surrounding area while getting to know new people. In addition, a wide range of leisure activities is offered from Monday to Friday. It is a great opportunity to practise what you have learned outside the classroom, make new friends, and make your stay even more enjoyable.

I particularly improved my listening skill thanks to the teachers’ professional advice. What’s more , speaking had always been my Achilles’heel , but being immersed in English in and outside the classroom helped me become far more fluent and confident.

La cantine propose des plats chauds et froids préparés sur place, avec des options végétariennes, véganes, halal et sans gluten, ainsi que le wifi et des prises pour recharger ordinateurs et téléphones.
